Annual Report
2023-2024
Our Mission
Delivering support when it is needed, led by the people who need it, in a creative way.
Our Vision
That every family who has experienced preteen Child Loss has access to support that aids them in living with grief in a positive way.
1
Our History
Founded in 2020 by Louise Taylor, during a time she was struggling to find the right support after her own loss. Louise turned to alternative ways to keep her mind focused and away from the heavy thoughts that come after a child loss. She found herself talking more while she discovered new hobbies and interests.
By following these new interests she has developed a following who understand how using our hands helps our minds and hearts process grief. Louise is using this strength as the foundation for the Little Forget Me Nots Trust and beginning to build a new path for alternative support in Northern Ireland.
We want to connect you with alternative ways that may help you figure out techniques to overcome obstacles whenever you feel ready to face the world again and begin to live with grief.
Over the last 4 years, we have been working hard to pilot projects and generate an income to fund running costs and now we are thankfully in the position to be supporting families right across Northern Ireland.

Founders Report
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we reflect on the adventures of the past year, I am thrilled to share with you the journey of the Little Forget Me Nots Trust in 2023/24. It's been a year filled with laughter, creativity, and connections, and I couldn't be prouder of what we've achieved together.
We kicked off the year by bringing together our Just Be Cafe service users for a delightful evening of Pottery & Pizza. Amidst the clay and cheesy goodness, friendships blossomed, and we got to know you which we loved!!
Our volunteers took the lead in a crochet class, turning yarn into a little tiny project that inspired us to make more. We took a trip to the Rage Rooms, where we smashed away stress and embraced the therapeutic power of letting go.
But it wasn't just pottery, crochet, and smashing things up that brought us together. We discovered a whole new world of creativity with glass, igniting friendships that sparkled as brightly as our creations. Additionally, our candle making workshops were a beacon of light in the darkness of October, bringing together numerous parents and illuminating spirits during what could have been a gloomy month.
As the year drew to a close, we came together in a powerful display of strength and solidarity. Our core group of women, united in their quest to Find Their Strength, showed us the true meaning of community. Through shared stories and support, they reminded us that together, we are capable of overcoming any obstacle.
In the face of adversity, we've laughed, we've cried, we’ve walked 100k steps, and we've grown stronger together.
As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing alternative solutions and support to those who need it most.
Thank you for being a part of our journey, for your boundless enthusiasm, and for your support.
Together, we've created something truly special, and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead.

Finance Report
1. Revenue:
Current Balance across Bank account and Paypal account: £37,408.28
2. Main Sources of Income:
The primary sources of income were fundraising activities and successful funding applications. Notably, funding from the Art Works fund, secured in 2022 as part of a three-year initiative, has been a significant contributor, with 50% of the funding already utilised.
3. Expenditures:
Major expenditures for the year included wages, facilitating Just Be Cafes, and supporting the Finding My Strength program and art therapy initiatives.
4. Future Financial Outlook:
Anticipated growth in fundraising efforts is expected for the upcoming fiscal year, with a focus on volunteer campaigns and various fundraising initiatives planned for 2024. However, there will also be increased expenditures, particularly in wages due to team expansion. Additionally, larger funding applications will be pursued to establish a long-term sustainability plan. The decision to establish Just Be Cafes in three static locations aims to enhance accessibility for users but will also lead to increased facilitation and material costs.
